The Centerville City Clerk's office is responsible for the collection of personal
and real property taxes for the City of Centerville. Your property tax bill provides you with a brief
description of your property, exemptions and current millage rate.
The City of Centerville receives its assessments from the Houston County Tax Assessor office. If you have any
questions regarding the assessed value of your property you may contact the Houston County Tax Assessor's
office at 478-218-4750.
If you have not received a tax bill by September 30, please contact the City
Clerk's office at 478-953-4734.
Property tax payments will be due on December 20, 2010.

All persons owning property are subject to ad valorem tax in the City. Those who
fail to make payment on or before due date are hereby assessed a penalty of 10% of the assessed value.
All ad valorem taxes shall bear interest at the rate of 1% per month from the date the tax is due until the
date the tax is paid in full.
