The City Clerk’s office is responsible for the collection of personal and real property taxes for the City. Your property tax bill provides you with a brief description of your property, any applicable exemptions and the current millage rate.

If you have not received a tax bill by November 1, 2016, please contact the City Clerk’s office at 478-953-4734. Property tax payments will be due on December 20, 2016.

All persons owning property are subject to City ad valorem taxation. Those who fail to make payment on or before the due date will be penalized in the amount of 1% of the subject property’s assessed value. All ad valorem taxes shall bear interest at the rate of 1% per month from the date the tax is due until the date the tax is paid in full.
